Surrounded by centuries-old gum trees, fresh air and all the positive vibes, the StartGiving team joined founders, VCs, community builders and social impact colleagues at _SOUTHSTART in McLaren Vale, South Australia in March.
Antonia Ruffell and Steve King (Atlassian Foundation) hosted a session on generosity to unpack the idea in all its forms. They shared where they’ve seen generosity make a tangible difference to real lives, why it’s been a driver of their career journeys and how their work through StartGiving and Pledge 1% is helping the tech sector to channel it (with donations of money, time, equity or product) to benefit the community.
