Founder & CEO, AirTrunk
Robin Khuda is the founder of AirTrunk, a hyperscale data centre company he built into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. Originally from Bangladesh, Robin arrived in Australia as a teenager and has become one of the country’s most successful tech founders.
Following his business success, Robin established the Khuda Foundation, which in 2025 made a landmark $100 million philanthropic gift to the University of Sydney, the largest in the university’s history and one of the biggest private donations in Australia. The gift supports a long-term initiative to boost STEM participation among young women in Western Sydney, aiming to reach 50,000 school students and fund over 450 full university scholarships.
Robin’s giving is deeply personal and strategic, grounded in his own journey from Western Sydney and a strong belief in education as a vehicle for equity and opportunity. His philanthropy is focused on building sustainable, community-rooted pipelines for women in tech, and fostering generational change.
“For me, I don’t want my giving to be about buildings, names or legacy. The real measure is whether more people get access to opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have had.”
